Students
Pope John is an exciting place to spend your high school years. In order to have our students reach their full potential, we strive to cultivate a climate of respect which celebrates the unique and diverse backgrounds, abilities and gifts of every member of our community.
The establishment and enforcement of the policies and procedures contained in the Student-Parent Handbook provides an environment conducive to learning and maximizing student potential.
Pope John is also an active place, and our students are busy and involved. A full array of extracurricular activities affords our students the chance to become well-rounded individuals while enjoying the benefits of new learning opportunities and having fun with their classmates. Offerings range from the Drama Club with its three or four productions per year to the School Newspaper, the Chess Club, Student Government, the Sports Management Club, liturgy planning and a full complement of boys and girls athletics. There is also a daily live news broadcast over closed circuit TV produced and anchored by students from our Library Media Center. We have Spirit Days (dress down days), dances, a Freshman/Sophomore Semi-Formal, a Freshman retreat, class field trips cultural assemblies, liturgies and many more activities too numerous to mention.
As you can see, there always seems to be something going on here at Pope John. Why not join us and become a part of our tradition of excellence!
