Athletics
Pope John XXIII High School offers a number of sports for male and female students to participate in each season. The Pope John XXIII coaches strive to encourage our athletes to reach their full potential and provide lessons that can be helpful throughout their lives.
Fall sports include: football, girls and boys soccer, volleyball, and cheerleading. Winter sports include boys and girls basketball, cheerleading, and boys hockey*. Spring sports include baseball, softball, tennis, and golf.

Boys Basketball:
Sophomore Malcolm Brown averaged 24.6 points per game through 5 games!
Girls Basketball:
Senior Captain Lauren Greski who is averaging 21.2 ppg through 4 games!
Boys Hockey
Senior Captain Chris Finn who has 11 goals and 3 assists through 7 games!

Congratulations to Justin Nascimento who was named to both the Boston Globe and the Herald as an All Scholastic Athlete.He was also named Division 4A Player of the Year by the Boston Globe.
Congratulations as well to Lauren Greski! She was selected by the Massachusetts Girls' Volleyball Association as a member of the Division 3 All State Team.
The Boston Globe reported that Michelle Atkins, Theresa Bui, Lauren Greski, and Krista Ippolito were selected as All Stars in Volleyball.
The Boston Globe reported Robert Bartolo, Malcolm Brown, Brian DiFransesco, Allen Dowling, James McCormack, and Justin Nascimento were selected as All Stars in Football.
Allison Connors and Ashley Orozco were both selected as All Stars in Girls Soccer.
Cesar Caiaffo, Nick Kelley and Jerry Matovu were also selected as All Stars in Boys Soccer.
* Boys Hockey is a co-op with Cathedral and St. Clement's. St. Clement's is the "host school"
