AcademicS: Futures
As a college prepatory school, Pope John XXIII High School encourages our students to explore professional and career interests prior to declaring a major area of studies in college. The FUTURES project is aimed at improving academic achievement in college, improving the four year graduation rate from college, and decreasing transfer and drop out rates. By providing students with substantial, career-oriented, site-based experiences prior to graduation, we hope to develop a career consciousness and lend purpose to their professional studies.
